Hi! My name is Lauren Fritsch, and I created Captivating Life to help other women who struggle with food, body image and weight. My own journey to recovery was a winding path of self-discovery, hidden emotions, pain and JOY that ultimately led to serenity surrounding food, my body, and my life. After struggling with bulimia, anorexia and over-exercising for 7 years, I finally made the decision to seek help and recover. What followed was a sometimes exhausting but always rewarding journey that took me more than a few years. I initially sought standard treatment and soon found that alternative therapies were more effective for my own recovery. But the biggest changes for me came when I hired a recovery coach to help me identify the essence of my ideal lifestyle and then begin taking steps to achieve it. Through health-building habits, body work, energy healing, affirmations, meditation, prayer, gentle exercise, inspirational reading, and a dynamic coach, I learned to live the Captivating Life I had always wanted. Even better, I discoverd that living my own Captivating Life supported a healthier me! I didn't need the coping mechanism of an eating disorder any longer because I was finally living in line with my values. Now, I recognize the value of my eating disorder as part of my life experience and am thankful for the lessons it taught me. I truly believe that recovery is possible for anyone who wants to achieve it, no matter what has been your past experience. As a recovery coach myself, I am able to help other women uncover their true potential as healthy, vibrant women who live their own unique Captivating Lives.
